Things have been going pretty awesome lately. I am loving my new job, and the music thing is really going well; since my birthday I feel like I have been playing non-stop.
BT had another awesome party for Halloween on Thursday night. I threw together a quick costume of Rob Zombie for the weekend, met up with a friend who I have not seen in a minute for dinner and some catching up, and we rode over to midtown for the party. I brought the laptop and came out and did an insane near two-hour mix of Michael Jackson’s Thriller that people either loved or hated. Last night Right Clique threw and INSANE party at The Bench with a crazy stage set-up, awesome sound system, and performances from 10PM until sun-up. Thanks to everybody who came out to support both events.
Tonight was sushi night at Taka, Alex, Billy, Katie and myself all went, it being the first time for Billy and Katie. As to be expected with the excitement around sushi night, the service was a little slow, but the food was excellent as always, I tried the flounder appetizer which I have never had before and was impressed.
After putting back a few pounds of fish and a fair share of sake I headed over for Lacey’s birthday party over near Grant Park, I brought the laptop and played for a while, at first it did not seem people were into it, as I was getting ready to wrap my set up and play the last few bangers a ton of people came into the room and started dancing like crazy, I ended up playing for another 30-40 minutes or so. All in all, when it was said and done I did around a two-hour set at the party and I’m fairly impressed with how it came out. Oh yeah, The Rebels beat Auburn, and LOL @ UGA.
All and all this has been a wonderful weekend, thanks to everybody who made it an incredible one as well. I imagine Tuesday night is going to be more of the same, I’ve already made some pretty fun plans for that evening as well and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how everything is going to go down Election Day.
