LHF – Fact Mix #178

If you haven’t been paying attention to Dusk/Blackdown, you’re kidding yourself. Undoubtedly an originator in the mainstream success of dubstep out of the depths of the London Garage and Grime scenes, Blackdown’s reputation has earned him a spot curating the only decent column left in Pitchfork Magazine, in addition to running his own blog and curating music for his Keysound Label, which gave us the defining release ‘Margins Music.’

Fact Magazine continues their appreciation for all good bass music by featuring a podcast from Keysound up-and-comers, and long time Blackdown protégés LHF. spanning over twenty tracks, and providing what Fact and Blackdown himself refer to as an “atmospheric” vibe which  “incarnate an archetype of London music … reflecting motivations and influences inwards – doing it primarily for themselves, with the unit itself first in line to function as audience and DJ.”
