Wayback Wednesday: Cheap Trick – At Budokan (1978)
Yes, I am a huge fan of really cheesy over-the-top rock music. To me, it is shocking that Cheap Trick is going to make it to Wayback Wednesday before the likes of Boston. This one has been in heavier rotation on my iPhone lately so I guess it wins out due to timing and nothing else. It doesn’t get much more over the top than Rick Nielsen playing 4 necked guitars, a drummer named ‘Bun E. Carlos,’ bad singing from Robin Zander, and tens of thousands of screaming Japanese youth.
