splurt 640 Splurt Diablo Mix for Sonic RouterFor all the claims that grime is dead, it has easily provided some of the most memorable tunes of 2011. The torrent of tracks from Butterz, Terror Danjah, and Teddy are definitely keeping things fresh.

Sonic Router comes correct on its latest mix this time supplied by one of my favorite up comers in the grime scene now Splurt Diablo. The VIP remix of his tune ‘The Return’ always gets a wheel-up request when I’ve played it. Splurt brings all originals here on this mix, a complete tracklist after the bump as standard.

Grime producer S-X has been heavy in the spotlight lately and for good reason; his tracks are ridiculous. Also of note, he has more Twitter followers than you do. To celebrate hitting the 5000 followers milestone, he is releasing a nine track EP to the masses, for free.

Butterz Is The Label

Seriously, the amount of quality music coming from grime label Butterz is unimaginable, especially considering they almost give away as much free music as Napster did in the late 90s. One of the label’s highlights has been their monthly ZIP file, featuring a bunch of freebies from the likes of Royal-T, TRC, S-X, and other regulars on the Butterz label.

Today they dropped the June ZIP file, which comes highly recommended. Free, quality, grime. U daft?

Also, be sure to throw them some money for their efforts by buying up some of their quality releases as of late
